Charitable donations
 
We regularly support various charities and individuals which are of relevance to ALLCU's remit.
In the past these have included donations to:
  • WaterAid
  • Send-A-Cow
  • Brooke Hospital for Animals
  • Sponsorship of individuals to study for library degree qualifications in the UK& internationally

Saw donations of £500 each in 2008 & 2009

This was proposed by Mary Hilder (Holme Lacy) and seconded by Christine Barclay (Elmwood) and agreed by those present.






Send-A-Cow

Received a donation of £750 in 2008 with donations made in previous years to this worthwhile cause.


Sponsoring Alufeyo Munda
 
 
 
Elmwood College suggested supporting a student from Africa in his quest to train as a librarian. Without the support of ALLCU funding, Alueyo would not have been able to fulfil his ambition.

I wish to send my best wishes to all ALLCU Members during this year`s Annual conference. May God be with you as intend to reach to the poor masses in the developing if the libraries and their proffessional.
